Hi,

I download some grib files from here: http://nomads.ncdc.noaa.gov/data/gfsanl/
When open them in zyGrib they open fine but they seem to be displayed a bit higher on the map than they should.
Here's two photos describing the problem.

CAPE - image taken from the Estofex site.

You can see that once we reach the shore, cape drops drastically.
But in zyGrib it displays it a bit higher on the map. the region with the most cape is almost all in the sea. You can see it the image:

Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Thank you.

Hi,
Sorry, I give an explanation but no solution.
The gfsanl archived grib1 files are at a low resolution: 1°.
The resolution in latitude is near 110 km at the latitude of Spain.

The grib2 files of gfsanl are at a better resolution: 0.5°.

But the actual version of zyGrib cannot display grib2 file.
It's a work in progress for a future version.
Meanwhile I use cnvgrib, a NOAA tool, to convert grib2 file into grib1 format.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. I searched for the program on google and in the first link I found the source code. I will have to compile it myself isn't it? Is there any executable online?
